Georgian pianist Salomé Jordania makes her solo recording debut with Passage, a program conceived as a spiritual, intense odyssey through darkness, mysticism, and transcendence. Bridging 19th-century Romanticism with 20th- and 21st-century avant-garde soundscapes, Jordania explores the light and shadow of the human soul.

The album sets Alexander Scriabin's demonic, unstable Poème satanique and the sinister "Black Mass" Sonata No. 9 against Kaija Saariaho’s luminous Prelude for Solo Piano. These works are framed by the philosophical depth of Franz Liszt, spanning the bell-like clarity of Les cloches de Genève, the spiritual radiance of Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude, and the towering architecture of the Sonata in B minor.
