Labor Of Love is a raw, edgy, self-produced set of 13 original compositions spinning modern tales of floods, conflagrations, voodoo spirits, personal hardship and heaven-sent prayers. The performances utilize six and twelve-string Martin acoustics, a 1937 National Steel guitar and, on three tracks, mandolin. The songs carry the weight, hard-earned wisdom and humor Ellis picked up over four decades on the road.
