Scattering theory has a long history and underpins a range of information and communications technologies.  This book provides readers with an overview of  methods connecting formal processes associated with solutions of homogeneous and inhomogeneous Helmholtz equations, for example, to statistical methods and diffusion-based modeling for simulating complex scattering processes.  A number of case studies are included, as well as problems at the end of each chapter.
