This adaptation of Smeltzer and Bare's Tenth Edition of Textbook of Medical-Surgical Nursing is designed to provide a comprehensive and locally relevant medical-surgical textbook for use by Australian and New Zealand undergraduate nursing students. The adaptation includes approximately 300 pages of entirely new material to reflect the differences in practice in terms of: legalisation, ethics, culture, indigenous populations, epidemiology, medical management, nursing management, pharmacology, diagnostics tests and investigations, patient teaching/discharge, equipment and procedural guidelines, support groups, and resources specific to Australia and New Zealand.
