SUPERB TRIPLE DISC SET OF RARE LIVE FM BROADCAST RECORDINGS Formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. Anthrax is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s, and is one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer. After 40 years in the business, Anthrax have released eleven studio albums, six live albums, seven compilation albums, ten video albums, six extended plays, twenty-six singles and twenty-six music videos. A staple of rock-radio and regulars on the US and worldwide tour circuits, this extraordinary band remain among America s favourite rock groups. In celebration of Anthrax s longevity, talent and enormous and still seriously dedicated fan base, comes this triple disc boxed set of rare radio broadcasts taken from live shows across the group s career. DISC ONE features Anthrax s magnificent concert recorded at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, Texas on July 11th 1987, shortly after their third studio album Among The Living was released. DISC TWO contains the band s dynamic show at The Wallace Civic Center, Fitchburg, MA, on 8th August 1993, hot on the heels of their Sound of White Noise record which was released just a couple of months before. DISC THREE concludes this set with the FM broadcast of Anthrax s performance at the Monsters Of Rock Festival in 1989, recorded at Velódromo Estadio Nacional, Santiago, Chile, on 10th December 1998.
