Strange Number System - Concepts & Applications

Number system is used just about everywhere, especially traditional number system (binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal). However, except the traditional number system, there are also some other number systems those are not as widely known or widely used as traditional number systems in computing but they have charms all their own having a genuine mathematical distinction in its favor. The strange number systems are those number systems which are not classified under traditional number system such as ternary, nonary, unodecimal, vigesimal, trigesimal, hexatrigesimal, sexagesimal, quadrosexagesimal, pentaoctagesimal, octovicentimal etc.The study of strange number system is useful to the researchers of computing due to the fact that these number systems other than the traditional number system offers great benefits and can be helpful in overcoming certain flaws of the present system in the computer field.
