Three days of riots have left the Hollows a war zone. The fragile racial, social and economic fractures that ran under Cymbeline have ruptured with seismic intensity leaving hundreds dead. Freshly promoted Lieutenant Simon Buckley is assigned to a flying squad responding to newly discovered bodies. But he finds that not all the deaths are due to simple violence born of racial hatred and desperation. Someone is using the chaos to cover foul murder.
