The Summer Plot

The next riveting summer suspense from Jamie Day, the author of THE BLOCK PARTY, where yacht parties and fancy dining come with murder on the menu.

Kat Kincaid wants out of her troubled marriage, along with a permanent reprieve from her mother-in-law. Unfortunately, she signed a kill clause in her prenup that will leave her broke if she walks. Her husband, Brock, takes his till-death-do-us-part vow quite literally, and divorce is off the table. Thanks to his beta blockers, a fatal heart attack is equally unlikely. Kat decides to take matters into her own hands.

But an islander and expert sailor who holds a key to Kat's dark past threatens to derail her plans. Maren West wants nothing more than to escape her hardscrabble life on Seaberry, an exclusive island enclave off the coast of Massachusetts. For her, it's not a summer destination, but a year-round grind in an apartment she shares with her mother above the local dive-the Barnacle.

When Maren accepts a job offer to work for the Kincaids, she's really searching for her missing friend Isa - a former employee who vanished without a trace. Soon she's embroiled in a web of lies and deceit that puts her own life at risk. The burning question this summer won't be who gets away with murder. It's who gets out alive.
