Wheat is one of the most important cereal crops occupying 25.06 m ha area of India and producing 80.6 million tonnes there by contributing 36 per cent to the total food grain basket of the country. So, there is good scope to increase the productivity of wheat with the adoption of improved production technology like improved tillage techniques, nutrient management, irrigation scheduling, weed management, disease and pest management.
