I Did See a Mammoth

WINNER! Lollies 2024 Book Awards –
Best Laugh Out Loud Picture Book

THE FUNNIEST PICTURE BOOK OF THE YEAR!

Welcome to the Antarctic, where an intrepid bunch of explorers is making an in-depth study of penguins. Penguins. Penguins. Penguins. So many penguins …

But one young explorer has discovered something different. Something totally wild, spectacularly cool and quite a lot … EXTINCT.

Alex Willmore’s hilariously funny picture book brings the prehistoric woolly mammoth dancing, swimming and SKATEBOARDING back to life. But will anyone believe it?

Would YOU?!

Winner of the InspiREAD Award 2023.

‘A brilliant book to read aloud and one that adult readers can have lots of fun telling. Children will delight in being able to see something that many of the characters within the action cannot.’ – BookTrust

‘A book to share, to giggle at and to have some great adventures with!’ – Armadillo Magazine

‘[An] irresistible shoutalong picture book’ – Big Issue North
