These articles are the proceedings of pre-conference workshops held prior to an international symposium on the use of computers and information science in nursing. The workshops provided coverage of bedside terminals, standards and minimum data sets, automated nursing documentation and the use of computers in nurse education and training. The contributors offered opinions and suggestions for all those using computers in nursing practice.
