Desde los tiempos de la primera evangelizaci?n, la Biblia ha desempe?ado un papel muy importante en la vida de la Iglesia Cat?lica en Am?rica Latina. Desde la Asamblea de Medell?n (Colombia, 1968) hasta la Conferencia General de Aparecida (Brasil, 2007), la Iglesia ha recomendado su lectura asidua como medio privilegiado para conocer la voluntad de Dios en los cambiantes signos de los tiempos.

Esta edici?n en letra grande de la Biblia Cat?lica contiene los textos ?ntegros de la Biblia de Am?rica, que cuenta con la aprobaci?n de la Conferencia del Episcopado Mexicano, la Conferencia Episcopal de Colombia y la Conferencia Episcopal de Chile.

La Biblia de Am?rica se distingue por su traducci?n del griego y del arameo, lo que facilita su lectura e interpretaci?n; hecho que ha contribuido al crecimiento de la fe y a la evangelizaci?n en Am?rica Latina. Presenta, adem?s, una extensa y bien estructurada introducci?n de las distintas secciones de la Biblia y de los libros individuales, acompa?ada de notas al final de cada p?gina, que ayudan a comprender d?nde tienen lugar las historias.
